ESI push
ESI push is a small personal command-line tool. Its single maintainer uses it to append rows to Google Sheets spreadsheets that he owns, from his own computer, as part of a personal research workflow.
What it does
- Signs in once with Google OAuth and asks for one permission: the Google
Sheets scope (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets). - Reads the current state of a spreadsheet the user names, appends new rows to it, occasionally corrects specific existing cells after checking their current value, and reads everything it wrote back to confirm the write.
- Runs only on the maintainer's own machine, started by hand. It has no server, no website backend and no other users.
What it does not do
- It does not access Gmail, Drive files, Calendar, contacts or any other Google service.
- It does not send spreadsheet data anywhere other than back to Google Sheets.
- It is not offered to the public and is not a commercial product.
